Brian Cummings is an Advanced Manufacturing Instructor and the department chair at Worcester Technical High School, Worcester, MA. He has taught machining and manufacturing skills for high school and community college students since 2000 after 10+ years in industry as a machinist, CNC programmer, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Technician primarily in the field of medical device manufacturing. Brian always wanted to teach manufacturing since being a student in his high school program and now does so at his alma mater.
In addition to teaching, Brian currently serves as the president of the Massachusetts Vocational Association, and on the board of the Haas Technical Education Committee. Brian is committed to currency in his field and maintains close relationships with industry and educational partners. Brian resides in Millbury, MA with his wife and 3 children and enjoys time at home with his family.

Education
I attended Worcester Vocational Technical School, majoring in Machine Tool Technology. I went immediately into industry upon graduation. When transitioning to teaching I attended Fitchburg State University, studying Occupational Education.
Throughout my career, I have attended several seminars, conferences, and specialized training events relevant to my employment, to enhance my skills, and remain current in new skills/technology. Prior to teaching, I received specialized training in ISO9001, Internal Auditing, FDA Quality System Regulations, and Regulatory Affairs. I have also attended many manufacturing seminars and relevant training to remain current in the advancements in manufacturing.
